I’m always on the lookout for ways to improve our chances of success. After reading Overdeliver by Brian Kurtz, I think I found four ways that we can guarantee a better future.
When you come from a place of generosity with no expectation of getting something in return, you display your passion and integrity to the people who matter . . . and you also get noticed. Passion never goes out of style, and the people in your life (including your customers and contemporaries) will be drawn to you. (Pg. 7)
A great way to stand out is by putting others first. When you put your own wants on hold and help someone else, you can make their day better, improve yourself, and be noticed. This is what we call a win-win-win situation. Not everyone will see your kindness, but it can still make a major impact on people as they go on with their day. Being generous often leads to more good things happening. Your kindness might inspire someone else to do the same. 🙂
